  1. This was the video I needed to see. I have been cruising for awhile now. Didn't start till In was 40 (about 10 years now). I currently have a 11,8, and 2 year old. We did a great Oasis of the Seas Perfect Day 7 Day Cruise last year from Cape Liberty and took the Jr. Suite. It was a great little upgrade for the most part. Plenty of space. Only thing I didn't like is that they treated us like plebeian's at Coastal kitchen and we couldn't get a dinner reservation there till the last night of the trip. I basically told them I am not getting off the trip without eating here lol. I am looking into the same trip this summer and thinking about splurging and getting a spacious Aqua theatre 1 bedroom suite. I am still on the fence. The coast is about double, but we shall see.

  2. Matt, I am.on the oasis in 2 weeks..you just said that in one of the lounges you get complimentary ' drinks'..if so should I cancel my drink package, which I have paid 1400 dollars for….thx in advance

  3. Personally, before I'd spend money on a suite, I'd give it to charity. There are people starving in this world. Could not do something that wasteful. A regular balcony suite is plenty luxurious for me.

  4. I hate that Royal, unlike many other cruise lines, gives Pinnacle guests access to suite areas. Royal makes an attempt to limit this, but the second they do, the Pinnacles are the first to whine. I like that other lines do a better job of not watering down suite perks by allowing loyalty-entitled guests in suite areas.

Which brings me to my usual joke: how do you know a guest is Pinnacle status?

    He'll tell you.

  5. Your presentation was VERY informative and included many, many details. HOWEVER you spoke SO FAST I couldn’t listen as fast as you talked!!! I probably had to back up the video at least 20 times to replay what you just said. It would be worth it to have the video two or three minutes longer and just talk a little slower so it is not so confusing and overwhelming.

  6. Suites are the way to go. If you can afford Star Class that's the best way. The rooms are amazing. The Royal Genie is priceless. Going in April and have the Royal Loft suite on Harmony of The Seas. If you pay the extra money you have to really enjoy the room and I do.

  7. I’d much rather take less frequent cruises, but travel in style and convenience when we do go. We are 100% suite stayers..never been on RC though it’s on our to do list. We like more traditional cruising ships like HAL and The Haven on NCL. Which RC ship would you recommend for a first trip in a suite? We usually go for the lowest suite that gets all the amenities…but our next trip in 4 weeks on HAL is in a Pinnacle Suite for our 32nd anniversary…and wifey doesn’t even know I got us that suite..can’t wait to see her expression when we walk in.

  8. Once I started including solo cruises with my yearly family cruise, I started booking a jr suite! Booking my first loft suite for my BDay and looking forward to the additional perks beyond dinner in the Coastal Kitchen!

  9. I was on one of Oasis class ships and the Royal promenade was so so hot I had to take my suit off. Do you guys have an Air conditioning problem and your photographers are slow compared to Carnival cruise line.

  10. We have the 2bdr grand booked on IOS for March, we did this as a family of 7 wanting to stay in 1 room instead of 2 balc. and it only ended up being a bit more this way. We have also stayed in the interior family room with the view to promenade that was great for the room hoping it will be even better with the 2bdr.

  11. Back in 2018 for the presidential cruise we got a 4 villa suite. It was a family cruise, so there were 10 of us. The experience was mind blowing all of the amenities and concierge help that we got. I don’t think we would ever get it again because we did not explore as much as we normally did. Everything was brought to us in our cabin, both coastal kitchen, breakfast lunch and dinner. We had afternoon cocktails. having a star class suite was very fun, but because everything was provided to us. We didn’t have to leave the room at all. If I would give it a bad grade, it would be because you never have to leave the room.

  12. We have never stayed in a suite. However, our 25th wedding anniversary is this next year and we just might book a cruise and stay in a suite to celebrate the special occasion! Thanks for explaining all the different suites and their benefits.

  13. Matt, probably our last 30 cruises has been in a suite. We normally book Grand Suites but on several occasions have booked Loft Suites. We enjoy the extra room and really appreciate the Suites Concierge and Lounge. We are scheduled on the Od of Seas for the Greek Isles in June, 23 and will be in a two bedroom GS which we're really looking forward to.

  14. Our family of 8 had the 4-bedroom Villa Suite on Harmony this past August and it was truly remarkable! Not sure we will ever be able to go it again but having all that space and our own hot tub on the balcony was fabulous.
