I love Hawaii. My last visit was May 2016. Yes I drove to Hana and there were many waterfalls on the right side of the road. Yeah, the road is pretty narrow.
Veterans can enter the park free and get an annual or lifetime National Park pass. Thank you for this video with the phenomenal pictures, you did an amazing job and don't forget to like the video!
How dangerous would you say the road is? I really want to do the drive but none of us are used to driving a jeep or on roads like this. Do you think it's generally safe as long as you go during the day and take your time?

Wow! I really enjoyed this video…the scenery is spectacular! It was very interesting, with lots of great ideas, and whetted my appetite to visit Maui and take the Road to Hana! Thanks for the information!
Long ago on our honeymoon my ex wife and I stayed at an inn at the mouth of Iao valley on maui. We were there for 4 days. It was a very nice place. There was a little stream that passed under the inn. We drove to Hana the day after our wedding. I was hungover and we rented a Volkswagen Beetle. The scenery and the waterfalls were incredible but all the twists and turns on the road to Hana was not good for my hangover. It was a beautiful drive I’ll never forget.
