Do Cruise Lines SPY ON YOU??? Cameras everywhere, right? Royal Caribbean, NCL, Carnival Cruise Line

There is no privacy on a cruise ship… right? Aren’t there cameras everywhere? On my recent cruise on the Royal Caribbean …

  1. Wow. I guess there's no shortage of conspiracy theorists on your channel. Lucky you. I don't remember seeing any cameras on the cruise I went on, but my philosophy is if you're not doing something you shouldn't be, then there's nothing to worry about, anyway, right? Right.

  2. If someone wanted to get freaking on their balcony, I'd be less worried about a camera looking at the balcony, and more about the reflection in the glass on the railing. You can see a surprising amount of neighboring balconies, depending on which cabins you get. It doesn't look like much in your cabin, but in some you can see probably 80% of the neighboring balcony in the reflection.

  3. I think with all the nuts that are cruising the cruise lines have to protect themselves and other cruisers. I understand the privacy thing, but if you're not doing anything illegal you don't have anything to worry about. I have no problem with cameras. Now if it was inside the cabins that might be a problem. As you said, cameras are everywhere. The cameras are also for safety & crime. If someone got robbed and there were no cameras people would be complaining about that.

  4. Let’s be clear, if I have an ocean view balcony, at some point I’ll be out there and may be naked.

    That’s just a fact

If RCCL wants a peek I’m not going to deny them of that. Hell I can call down and let them know a time so they can plan ahead.

  5. I wish I could write a rude comment just so Morgan would read it in some awesome voice! But alas, my parents taught me too well. So I am relegated to obscurity! 😀

  6. I would love if you did my voice sorta New Yawker with a Texas twang. Yes I agree there is no privacy on those interior balconies. And sort of grateful for the cameras, just in case something happens

  7. I got lucky on my last 13 night NZ cruise. It had been a Vanuatu cruise booked in 2019. 2020 rolls round and a pandemic hits. I get a bit worried about being stuck in my (then) balcony for days on end so I upgrade to a mini suite ($1300 extra). The cruise gets cancelled but I’ve finished paying for it.

The $1300 gets refunded to my credit card (cross cos that’s money lost since you can’t withdraw that) and I just give up on the upgrade. Cruise then gets a whole itinerary change and a obc of $200 extra (on top of the $200 when I booked) gets put in my account. The room is slated as being a mini suite. Flash forward to cruise day and wahoooo I’m in a mini suite for free. I also get Covid on a shore tour and iso in my room for the last 2 days.

I came off that cruise with $200 refunded for a cancelled shore tour that the replacement had been taken out of my obc (non refundable) and $50 for missing the Fiords 😭. Then a month later I get a ffc for $226 for being stuck in a mini suite for 2 days (last of which was disembarkment day). So all up I profited on that cruise by $2100 either directly or indirectly.

  8. I think there should be cameras on the ocean view balconies especially with people going overboard. I’m about to book a Central Park Balcony this will be my first, I always book a ocean view balcony.

  9. I always assume that someone could see me, and that I can be filmed, so I would never do anything inappropriate or embarrassing on a balcony, but I think it feels uncomfortable if there are many people standing and staring at me when I want some quiet time to myself, and I find it just as uncomfortable when I can see right into other people's balconies and cabins, so I would also avoid those cabins/balconies, even though I can be filmed and observed regardless of which cabin /balcony I choose.

  10. No there is no camera looking at every balcony, but we were on a cruise and the person next to us was smoking on his balcony, which is not allowed. We called security who then said we will point the camera at his balcony and the next time he smokes we will catch him, which is exactly what happened. So no there not a camera pointing at every balcony at all times, but they do have they look at a balcony if they want to.

  11. Bravo 😅 Morgan😊 People are people and U made excellent observations for not only both sides but All sides. Terrific video and great views of the Ship. I have yet to sail on an Oasis Class Ship

  12. Morgan, I think this idea about cameras persists because the CD has said it to the audience on almost every cruise I've been on as part of their Welcome Aboard schtick. "We have cameras that can see the balconies, so we see what you do, wink-wink". I have never spotted a camera that could see my balcony, but I think if the cruise lines were recording individual balconies, some footage would have leaked out by now. We all have to work within our own paranoia frameworks! LOL♥️

  13. I think it’s a great idea to have cameras facing the balconies. Like you said in this video, they’ll be able to tell who might have thrown something from the balcony. Plus, if someone, God forbid, jumps, that should show up as well so there should be no question of the circumstances. If you want to get “busy” on the balcony, realize that someone’s watching and if you care, GO BACK INSIDE!!!!

  14. I always wonder why people are so worried about cameras . The way I look at it is that if I want to do something riskay , then I would have to expect to be recorded and not care . I think that if a camera can help retrospectively in some kind of accident or disaster , well then that’s a good thing .
If you have nothing to hide then it’s no problem . JMO x

  15. Voyager of the Seas, there are cameras on the 12th floor, forward balconies. However I believe these were there before they added the additional cabins. I did question what they were recording and they gave me 40% future cruise credit, obviously liked what they saw lol

  16. anybody humping their partner on the balcony is doing so knowing there is risk of being caught,.. that's WHY they are doing it. Since cruise ships have become the new Golden Gate Bridge for suicides, of course there are going to be cameras everywhere, and understandably so… want to hump on the deck of a boat in privacy, buy your own boat !!!!

  17. Yes there are cameras that point Across the balconies, (as you show us) and over all the public walkways beneath the balconies, but I don’t think there’s any pointed IN to a balcony . And yes there are certain balconies that have less privacy based on location and floor, but if the ship is out to sea, im not concerned about what im wearing having my morning coffee on the balcony.

  18. Love your t-shirt! Never really considered if there were cameras aimed at balconies or not. Unfortunately, cameras many places are a reality of life.

  19. I know they can't see everything. Last cruise, our balcony neighbor would "light up" 85 times a dang day…especially when we wanted to enjoy ours. I'm still bitter 😒 Next time, I'm calling the ship PoPo 😅😅😅
