  1. I remember when I was a kid my friend's dad mentioned he was in the Marines. I asked him where he was deployed he said Grenada, the way he said makes me feel like he thought it was a dumb idea

  3. Having been here several times I can say this is a beautiful country. To top it all off, the people here are some of the nicest and kindest people I have ever come across anywhere.

  4. Hey Google. Did the Bank of England own Slaves ?

At one point in the 1700s, the Bank's role as a lender also led to it owning two plantations and their enslaved workforce in Grenada as security on a loan to a business that could no longer be repaid. Individuals involved with the Bank were also personally linked to slavery.

  5. I love the strict development laws to keep beaches untouched….. they have done the same on many beaches in the dominican republic including saona island which is an untouched island off the DR south coast of palm tree forests and nothing more than a few beach huts and one village called mano jaun with a population of around 300 who are the only people allowed to live on saona.

  6. I’m on the Britannia and we just passed through there a couple of days ago, it’s nice apparently it’s a whole lot less violent then it was 10 years ago.

  7. Great video! Thank you for spot lighting my island. I think the name was given bc it reminded the Europeans of Granada in spain I coild be wrong, but never heard of the pomegranate fruit story

  8. Love how they keep most things natural and don’t allow massive buildings. They’re still making rum and lot of things the old way and that mean’s their history is always on display for the young generation and visitors. Many Caribbean islands have lost their identity.
