  3. lol so bottom line there is nothing to do in Bahamas. For a short trip we are possibly going down to the dock but if nothing to see there, definitely a bit silly to go and pay at a resort when pools are in the ship and food included

  4. Planning to do Margaritaville soon! Thanks for the review. They’re now charging $110 per adult, but we want to stay close to port and be on our own time, not tied to a full day beach excursion.

  8. we got stuck in nassau bahamas when our ship could't make port to our original destination. WE never should have got off the ship! The crowds were bad it was hard just to get around. the hawkers were relentless. the beach was one of the filthiest beaches ive ever been to. we lasted about an hour and headed back to the ship were we should have stayed to begin with!

  17. Great video! May I ask you 1 question, what month did you go to Exuma? We're trying to avoid Exuma and Nausau in March because of Spring Break. We're thinking of February or April. What month do you recommend? Thank you!

  23. We walked to the old fort on top of the hill and down the Queen's staircase, and then had drinks and played musical chairs at Señor Frog's. The next day, we went to the Atlantis Casino. It wasn't busy and I was able to take lots of pictures of the gorgeous art displays.

  24. We just came back from a cruise and we stopped in nassau and i was very disappointed. It was dirty and smelled of the dead animal every street you went to 4 or more guys run at you to sell you something and the shops were just as bad. The so called beach was a joke with having 5 ships in port. It was nothing i would need to see again.

  26. We have done Junkanoo two or three times and while we did enjoy the water, the trash and some sketchy people standing and staring at the perimeters.

    I've always said if you take a CERTIFIED taxi to and of the resort beaches and pay the $20 fee, you'll never know what beach you are on other than it's a glorious tropical beach. Thanks Illana

  33. The fact that a day pass doesn't provide food and drinks in that pass is ridiculous..and 15 dollars for chicken tenders and fries that look like kids menu. Ugh. Hahaha the way people spend left and right..me even with money cringes. But hey to each is own.

  34. Been to Nassau many times. Favorite place is Ardastra Gardens, also enjoy the Pirate Museum, Queens staircase, Fort Fincastle. Enjoyed Baha Mar and have tried Atlantis beach/pool too. Good shopping, best watch repair is across from Diamonds International main store on the small side street. Next trip I want to check the caves!

  35. Thanks so much to Ilana and Life Well Cruised… we SO enjoyed our first cruise Carnival Elation August 2023! For our Nassau port, daughter wanted to do the "Swim with Pigs" but I found out that Carnival was cancelling that excursion. I found the same excursion with Bahamas Jet Boats. We walked through the NEW port turned left and walked 10 minutes to their lobby. The excursion was SUPER! I even reviewed it on Trip advisor, hoping to help out their company. The folks were very nice and a few 'extras' free bottled water, chips, water tour of Atlantis, pig island pictures, feeding and shelling. Then the most beautiful Snorkeling reef I've ever seen. We brought our own snorkels but they had some as well. Fantastic day and the most memorable on our cruise. Thanks again for all the planning assistance and advice! <3

  36. Okay, so I did exactly this on August 20th, 2023. We did pay the full amount ahead of time. I recommend just getting a taxi. It will only be like 12 dollars and my google maps had major issues finding the location and we got a lot of bad directions and it was kind of a fiasco lol Margaritaville was fantastic! The only downside is the beach is right next to the free section so its VERY busy. We ended up just going back up to the pool area which was quiet and relaxing. The Lazy river is AMAZING!!! If we had gotten a taxi, it would have been perfect!

  38. We have been to Nassau before but never that impressed. Our last trip was 2018 but knowing Margaritaville resort is there now we would definitely do that!

  40. Ive heard theyve totally redone the straw market and cruise post in Nassau and that is it amazing now. Don't know if it was done when you went or not. Looking at going in January!
